Blast initiation products

Detonators

Titanobel offers its customers a wide range of detonators for initiating blasts in mining environments

Electronic detonators

We offer one of the most advanced systems on the market for electronic detonator firing and electronic programming. It is intended for complex, high-quality surface, underground or demolition blasting operations.
This includes firing with remote control through secured radio wave.

Electric detonators

Titanobel distributes Daveydet electric detonators:
▪ Instantaneous models (No. 0, with a start time of less than 1 ms),
▪ Short delay models No. 1 to No. 20 (intervals of 25 ms) for open-air detonations,
▪ Delay models No. 1 to No. 12 (intervals of 500 ms) for underground detonations.

Each model comes with two electrical safety levels (medium and high current) and with different wire lengths.

Non-electric detonators

Titanobel distributes NONEL® EZ DET detonators that combine a non-electric detonator with a delay of 500 ms and a surface connection with delay of 25 ms.
The surface connections are equipped with connection units capable of containing 6 transmission tubes and have a small base explosive charge to reduce noise pollution and eliminate any risk of shearing caused by shards.

Pyrotechnic detonator

New DAVEYFUSE system
TITANOBEL has co-developed this new product, a combination of a plastic-coated, waterproofed safety fuse and an instantaneous pyrotechnic detonator.
The DAVEYFUSE is used to initiate an explosive charge, detonating 90 to 120 seconds after the safety fuse is lit.
This ready-to-use product saves you time and increases safety when preparing your preventive avalanche triggering.

Detonating cords

The 12 g and 20 g Titacords are used mainly for lateral triggering of bulk and cartridge explosives. They can also be used for splitting ornamental rocks. The 40 g and 70 g Titacords can also be used for lateral triggering but their main role is for rock slopes pre- or post-splitting of highwalls and cuttings at public works sites and quarries.
NB: The 20 g and 40 g cords are specially recommended for explosives requiring powerful initiation sources. (ANFO in particular).
